Background

When KHI was created, it had among other things the mission to ensure continuing education for health professionals.
It is within this context that KHI established the Continuing Education Centre (CEFOCK).
The CEFOCK exists since March 2001.

Mission

The CEFOCK has the mission to contribute to the improvementof health services in Rwanda through:
1. the continuing training of health professionals (nurses and paramedicals),
2.  the development of professional competences; the aim  is the promotion of the well being of Rwandan people.

OBJECTIVES

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To identify the  training needs in health  area.
◘  To plan  annual training and semester operational plan.
◘ To  Elaborate the modules and  training programs according  to the user’s needs.
◘  to organize and to implement the training of  trainers.

STRATEGIES
  To have a plan of action according to national needs in health domain.
◘  To have the updated  data base of training needs.
 ◘ To promote partnership with  MINISANTE , MINEDUC  and other  national and international potential partners.

◘  To elaborate the appropriate  modules according to the real needs and update the existing ones.
◘ To adapt the trainings in the context of entreprise  and the participants’s background skills and  needs.
 ◘To organize training taillor-made and right up to date.
◘ To promote operational research in health domain.
