Instructions for Abstract Submission

The abstract must contain a maximum of 250 words, written in Times New Roman font, font size 12, with double line spacing, with the following format:

            Corresponding author: last name, other names, institution, address, phone, fax, e-mail.
·           Co-authors:
·           Sub-theme:
·           Title - a maximum of 100 characters, including spaces.
            Background: Briefly present the context and the research problem.
            Objective(s): Briefly state the objective(s) of the research.
            Materials and Methods: Indicate the study design, the materials and where applicable, the participants (Patients or Subjects) of the study, the research procedures and the statistical tests used for data analysis.
            Results: Present the main findings of the study.
           
Conclusion: Relate your results to current knowledge and make relevant conclusions.
            Key-words: supply 3-5 key-words referring to the main concepts in the study.

            Proposed presentation type: oral or poster:
            Declaration of originality.
            Declaration of the absence of conflict of interest.

Reports will also be considered provided they are presented in the specified format.

 

Abstracts for posters should have the same format as for oral presentations.  Ideally long text should be avoided during preparation of the actual poster. Furthermore, a focus on results, preferably with tables and figures, is recommended.

Dimensions for posters
Each poster will be allocated a maximum size of 120cm height and 90cm width.

Abstract submission: 30th November 2009
Notification of acceptance of abstracts: 15th December 2009
Submission of FINAL proposal (for abstracts pending acceptance): 31st December 2009
