Skills lab offers an opportunity for students to practice different types of anaesthetic procedures

This facilitates students  to carry out their practice on patients  with confidence when they go to clinical settings.

The department encourages both individual and group skill development as one of its teaching strategies. This helps students to share knowledge and skills that improve their professional competences

Programmes offered.

*Advanced Diploma:
Duration of training -three years
Candidates: School leavers and nurses ( level 2)
Award:Advanced Diploma Certificate.

*Degree Programme:
Duration of training– 18 months.
Candidates: Advanced Diploma holders in Anaesthesia.
Award: BSc Hons Degree in Anaesthesiology

Bridging Program of Anaesthesia

Admission requirements

The program is open to the Advanced Diploma holders, non physician, nurse anaesthetists or its equivalent, as it was built on the current existing three year diploma curriculum in nurse anaesthesia at Kigali Health Institute. Candidates should have at least 2 years of work experience in anaesthesia clinical practice.
