KIGALI HEALTH INSTITUTE, / REGIONAL E-HEALTH CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (REHCE), MASTER OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH INFORMATICS

Kigali Health Institute (KHI) is a public higher learning institution established by the government of RWANDA in 1996. It is committed to be a centre of excellence in training and development of health professionals and to train and improve the capacity of health workers. (REHCE) being hosted by KHI offers a Master of Science in Health Informatics and wishes to inform international interested candidates to apply. This program is a fee-paying evening program with an intake of 30 students beginning on 03^nd September 2012. Registration for this intake will begin on 13^th August 2012 and end on 27^th August 2012.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENT

The program is open to interested candidates who have potentials within three particular domains:

Academically, applicants will typically possess a degree in science, technology or medical/public health areas;

Technically, applicants will be required to have some experience in the use of IT in their workplace;

Contextually, applicants will be required to have at least three years experience working in a healthcare environment;

Good command of the English language.

B.   CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION

To fulfill the application form available at the Central Secretariat of KHI or on its website www.khi.ac.rw;

Submission of application form together with required supportive documents from 27^th June to 27^th July2012 at 5: 00 pm;

Applications will be received during working hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Central Secretariat of KHI;

USD 10 or Rwf 5,000 application fee (non-refundable) paid to the KHI account No 5032702-01-50 in BCR, Swift code:  BCRW RW RW

The fees to be paid by a student are as follows:

USD 5,000 for tuition fees  for the whole program

USD 60 for Caution money for the whole program

USD 35 for Registration fee per year

NB: List of those that will meet the requirements for registration will be available on KHI Website on 03^rd August 2012.
