KIGALI HEALTH INSTITUTE, / REGIONAL E-HEALTH CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (REHCE), MASTER OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH INFORMATICS

Kigali Health Institute (KHI) is a public higher learning institution established by the government of RWANDA in 1996. It is committed to be a centre of excellence in training and development of health professionals and to train and improve the capacity of health workers.

(REHCE) being hosted by KHI offers a Master of Science in Health Informatics and wishes to inform international interested candidates to apply. This program is a fee-paying evening program with an intake of 30 students beginning on 03nd September 2012. Registration for this intake will begin on 13th August 2012 and end on 27th August 2012.

The vision of the e-Health Center of Excellence is to excel in training and research in E-health systems in the region.

The mission of the e-Health Center of Excellence

The mission of the Centre is to:

 

  • Train highly competent health personnel in health informatics
  • Provide in-service short courses for continuous professional development
  • Introduce e-health technologies in all medical and health curricula
  • Assist in e-learning health programs in Rwanda
  • Collaborating with NUR, Schools of Public Health, Teaching hospitals and other reference hospitals in telehealth implementation.
  • Conduct health research in health informatics
  • Develop new training programs on e-health
