It is committed towards training and producing oral healthcare professionals, from scientific background and equipped with knowledge and skills to meet the oral healthcare needs of all communities in Rwandans Healthcare context.
To date it operates a modern and dependable dental consultancy center, an extensive network of community-based services, educational and research activities.
Notable contribution to the National Health Agenda is the KHI-Dental department’s involvement in the community outreach oral health programmes, in providing free dental services in the under-served rural areas of Nyamasheke (Cyangugu), Nyagatare and Gatsibo Districts.
