MISSION

To train Nurses who will provide preventive, curative, promotion and rehabilitative services at all levels of the health care system to individuals, families and communities.

OVERALL GOAL OF THE PROGRAM

To train a Nurse who will carry out care and offer quality services by applying critical thinking skills, analyzing health-related problems, and taking prompt decisions in a professional manner

Bachelor of Science in General Nursing

The curriculum follows the principle of teaching-learning whereby 1/3 of the total hours of the module is devoted to face to face teaching while 2/3 will be for Self-directed-learning and practical exercises
The graduate is a professional nurse who is competent to function as a generalist in Primary Health Care and secondary health settings, a practice based researcher, clinical teacher, and a leader in health services and the profession.

Admission requirements

To enter the program, candidates will have completed high school education in scientific and have succeeded according to the Rwandan National Examination Council. In addition, candidates have to pass the screening examination by the faculty in order to be admitted.
